What are your hours?

10-3:30 M-F, or by appointment. We observe major Christian and Jewish religious holidays

How far in advance must I place my order?

Limited items available same day, most require 24-48 hours notice; Large orders require minimum 1 week notice.

 

Consultations are recommended for any large order and required for special occasions so there are no misunderstandings. Please book asap so your date is available. (A large order is defined as more than 5 dozen cookies or something that serves more than your immediate family.)

Items for corporate events/business functions will receive a discount on orders of over 200 pieces. Call to schedule a consultation for your corporation.

The Saucy Redhead offers free pickup for your order. Local delivery is also available ($3/mile beyond 2 mile radius)

Are you monitored by the Health department?

At this point The Saucy Redhead operates as a Cottage Food Bakery in Austin, TX which does not require direct supervision, but does require a food handlers license. I have a Food Service Manager's certification, which is a higher standard.

The Saucy Redhead's kitchen is not an allergen-free environment. While we do have select products that do not contain allergens, all of our products are baked in an environment where wheat/gluten, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs and soy may be present in high volumes. Due to the presence of these allergens at all of our baking facilities, we do not recommend consuming any of our desserts if you are allergic to wheat, nuts, dairy, soy or eggs.

What if my order is damaged on the way home? Or is in some way not what I expected?

Once client takes delivery/possession of items we are no longer responsible for condition of baked goods. We do provide proper handling/storage tips with your order.

What is your policy on Refunds?

More than 72 hours from delivery, we will offer a 50% refund on your order.

Less that 72 hours out we cannot offer refunds but we can offer credit toward your next purchase.

 

How should I store and handle my treats?

Storage and handling instructions can be found within each product’s description online. The Saucy Redhead's baked goods are meant to be enjoyed as soon as possible. We bake the old-fashioned way, without the use of preservatives or stabilizers.

Our cakes are best served at room temperature as it creates a rich, moist and delicious dessert. If you plan on storing any part of your cake after serving, we recommend placing it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 48 hours.

How far in advance may I place an order for pick-up or delivery?

We offer advance local pick-up orders up to 60 days in advance online. If you’re interested in local delivery, please contact us directly to make those arrangements.

 

Can The Saucy Redhead cater my event?

Yes! We love working together to make your event as memorable and special as we can.

Does The Saucy Redhead do custom orders?

Our biggest wish is that you get what you want, so our team will work closely with you to create custom cakes, cupcakes, party favors, gift baskets, dessert tables and more.
